Scientel Solutions has long been committed to fostering the next generation of professionals through its internship program based out of their global headquarters in Aurora, IL. Over the years, the program has evolved into a comprehensive professional development initiative, providing a hands-on experience while equipping interns with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in their future careers. This year, Scientel welcomed five new interns with a range of interests, including computer science, cybersecurity, business administration, marketing, and accounting.
The importance of this program is reflected in the experiences shared by this year’s interns. One of the participants highlights the value of the internship, stating, “This experience has given me the confidence to keep the momentum rolling into my schooling as well as my career.” Riley Gervasio, College of DuPage, Sophomore. Chris, another intern, shared some of the technical highlights of his time with Scientel, “I learned about Auvik and Jira. These programs have prepared me for the future because it allowed me to get real experience and learn how IT actually operates.” Christian Averill, Illinois State University, Senior states.
The interns working as a part of the Scientel team are not just observers; they are active contributors whose ideas are valued and whose growth is prioritized. As interns gain more knowledge from the challenges they overcome, they find themselves truly appreciating the company culture Scientel has created. Ellis, another intern, stated, “The biggest challenge I have faced in my internship has been adapting to the tech industry in general. Before the internship, I had no real exposure to businesses heavily involved in tech, so getting familiar with equipment, vocabulary, and processes was a challenge for me. Overall, I have learned a lot and loved every minute of being challenged in a new environment.” Ellis Jones, Concordia University Chicago, Graduate Student. As Scientel looks to the future, it remains committed to maintaining this culture while innovating its programs to meet the needs of tomorrow’s talent.
