“The Giving and the Goat event was great! It introduced a lot of people to Hesed House, was a ton of fun and raised a lot of money to help families get out of homelessness. I couldn’t be happier!” – Ryan Dowd, Executive Director at Hesed House
Scientel Solutions LLC (Lombard, IL. USA) hosts exclusive event that raised $132,050 for 2nd largest homeless shelter in Illinois, Hesed House (Aurora, IL. USA).
“With our world headquarters moving to Aurora in the Spring of 2020, it is important to be both involved within the local community and introduce others to Aurora. Hesed House is an organization that is near and dear to many and has been a huge part of Scientel’s mission to engage with the community by volunteering, fundraising and other philanthropic efforts. The event was a huge success thanks to everyone involved and I am proud to be able to contribute” states Nelson Santos, President & CoFounder of Scientel Solutions.
The evening consisted of a special dinner curated and prepared by Stephanie Izard’s Girl and the Goat in addition to an intimate performance by Rico McFarland, Blues Hall of Fame inductee.
“It is wonderful for families in our area to know that they can come to Hesed House in those times when they are facing homelessness. Not only will they have warm meals and a safe place to sleep, but they also will have the critical support surrounding them to help them one day move back out on their own. This event brought together such an amazing group of people, and we are honored that Scientel partners with us in such big ways!” says Lauren Jernigan, Division Director of Development at Hesed House.
The event could not have been possible without the help of the sponsors. A special thank you to: Glass Solutions, Inc., Cordogan Clark & Associates, Michael Cataletto, CD Rigdon & Associates, Ltd., Burch Dental, Digimite, Rich Harvest Farms, Sherman Plastics Corp., Fox Valley Developers, Lauren Collander Interior, Prinova, and Caputo Dental.
