Job Title: Data Center Solution Specialist



This position manages all of Scientel’s contracts with Data Centers, oversees all Data Center Installations and manages all cross-connects and LOAs. The Data Center Manager works closely with our technical staff and clients in providing high quality service to optimize Scientel’s presence in all current and future data centers.


Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities

  • Develop engineering plans and network designs internal Data Center communications
  • Manage all Data Center contracts world-wide.
  • Development of reports and various other technical documents to describe data center related project status.
  • Meet with potential clients and current customers and act as a technical representative or resource regarding various projects.
  • Managed all LOAs and cross-connects between Scientel and Customer cages
  • Provide new data center construction with the right business requirements and documentation
  • Assess any current hardware for proper compliance and standards
  • Oversee any construction for expansions
  • Evaluate the best practices for design and maintenance
  • Ensure that future expansions include the industry’s standards and compliance
  • Provide customer satisfaction and approval for performance and efficiency
  • Document budget and cost concerns for maintaining data
  • Monitor all equipment for security threats
  • Prepare plans for development and installation of data center according to present and future requirements.
  • Monitor all software and hardware products and ensure compliance to Data Center standards and systems.
  • Administer installation and maintenance of organization data center.
  • Monitor all activities related to analysis and implement all data center plans.
  • Supervise designing and evaluation of all server systems according to measurement of process.
  • Perform troubleshoot on data center, identify issues and assist in timely resolution of same.
  • Manage and perform research to design new advanced data center.
  • Ensure adherence to all established guidelines and management practices for employees.
  • Maintain expert knowledge on all applications and its use on systems for various critical systems.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and provide optimal level of customer services

Minimum Experience and Educational Requirements

  • BSEE or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of responsible for managing Data Center Assets
  • Strong understanding of fiber based technologies
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written skills are required
  • Excellent proficiency with Windows-based computer systems and networks is mandatory
  • Working level knowledge and experience in IP networking
  • Experience with working with Data Center owners like Equinix, Digital Realty Trust, Telehouse, NTT, New Continuum, China Telecom, ByteGrid, etc….
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage personal workload, vendors, and deliverables, to meet aggressive project timelines
  • Strong work ethic and team player


Certifications, Licenses and Additional Requirements


  • Travel within the region and/or throughout the country is required
  • May be required to obtain a passport for occasional out of country deployment
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
  • Must pass an extensive background check and/or drug screening tests
  • Must have or obtain OSHA Construction Industry 10-Hour DOL Card
